GAJA RELIEF HOUSING PROJECT FUNDED BY TMM .

CURRENT STATUS AS OF OCT 2021,

Dear TMM friends,

Here is a quick update on the Gaja rehab housing. Please find attached the pictures of the 5 houses sponsored by TMM at Kaduvakudi village, Thiruvarur district. As you can see, the houses are in various stages of completion. The MoU between TNF, the government and the beneficiaries was that TNF will provide the foundation (approx. Rs. 50,000/-) and the rest of the housing will be jointly completed between the state government funding and central government scheme “Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana”. While our part of the work has been completed and delivered with all the foundations, the rest of the work is in various stages due to delays from election related code of conduct rules, pandemic lockdown, etc. TNF is continuing to track this actively. Please rest assured that every bit of your contribution has reached the beneficiary’s rehabilitation initiative. While the joint methodology allows the contribution to benefit the broader population, it also has external dependencies outside TNF’s control. We will continue to track it and provide updates for you.
